Generating No More

BN 12397 once had batteries and this alternator to charge them as the train rolled down the line. The spring that once kept the primary belt tight has been removed, allowing the entire bracket to droop, loosening the primary belt to the point that it was easy to remove. Now, the batteries are dead. Not that anyone really needs them on a simple shoving platform.
